The house fills these days, with Christmas colours and with fragrances of the season. I don't bake as much as I used to, life has taken other turns, but still several traditional cookies are made to fill our red and green tins. My husband and youngest daughter made gingerbread figurines Saturday morning, but before they startet I claimed half an hour in the kitchen - that's how long it takes to make these "kokosmakroner"- Oh, so simple, oh, so tasty. At least tasty for those who love cocos. Not my cup of tea, but the rest of the family can't have enough of these cookies. kokosmakroner 250g cocos
180g powdered sugar
3 egg whites
mix the egg whites till they are totally stiff
add powdered sugar and cocos and stir carefully
use a spoon to make small cookies on the baking plate
bake at 180C for 10 minutes

Do you have a favorite Christmas cookie recipe to share?
Do you have a food blog?
Or another type of blog?
Where do you live?

I shared the recipe for the Christmas cookie that is most in demand at my house. Look on my blog, yesterday's post.
I'm guessing "coco's" here is grated coconut? I don't usually make macaroons but these look quick and easy.

I enjoy this blog very much, and visit the other two frequently. The kokosmakroner are very tempting. Thank you for your inspiring blogs.
I just made "Kokusmakronen" on Friday, too.
I added a hint of cinamon a dash of almond extract.
They turned out good, just like yours!! Yummy.
Darla - I guess you are right, grated coconut is probably the correct English word .-)
Anonymus, nice to hear from you.....do you have a name?
Gudl, cinnamon or almond - og that sounds great. I will try it.....next time may be.....
Hello Britt-Arnhild, just nibbling on a few of your food posts

Mouse - I bake every day right now, and love it :-)
Hello Britt-Arnhild! A very favorite cookie of ours to make is called "fingerprint cookies". A perfect cookie to make with children (my mother used to make them with my brother and I, too). Basically, it is a very simple shortbread cookie, and before baking, you make a little fingerprint in the center of the cookie and then add a little jelly (of your choice - we love raspberry) to the fingerprint.
